of Nutrition Autofill

1. Overview
The Nutrition Autofill feature extracts nutrition information from content you submit and autofills the nutrition fields in OmaBite.
2. What gets sent
You can submit two types of content:
- Image — a nutrition label photo you capture with the camera.
- Text — text you type or paste describing the nutrition information.
Only the content you actively submit is sent. No other data from your diary, profile, or device is included.
3. Where it goes
Your submission is sent to the applicable Nutrition Autofill service provider to extract structured nutrition data, which is returned to the app to autofill in the fields. We currently use OpenAI to process Nutrition Autofill images and text for most users. For users in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, we may use Alibaba Cloud's Qwen API to process Nutrition Autofill images and text.
OpenAI's handling of API submissions is governed by its own policies and terms: https://openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies
For users whose Nutrition Autofill submissions are processed through Alibaba Cloud's Qwen API, Alibaba Cloud's handling of submitted content is governed by its own policies and terms, including Alibaba Cloud Model Studio's security and privacy documentation and Alibaba Cloud's privacy policy.

According to the current policies of our Nutrition Autofill service providers, submitted content is not used to train their AI models. The applicable service provider may temporarily retain or store submitted content or call data according to its own policies, terms, and retention practices. OmaBite does not store your submission on any server.
4. Your consent
The feature only sends content after you have explicitly granted consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time:
After you withdraw consent:
- No image or text will be sent to any Nutrition Autofill service provider from this feature.
- You can continue to use all other features of OmaBite, including manually entering nutrition values. You may grant and withdraw your consent as many times as you wish. Granting consent does not automatically send any data — content is only sent when you actively submit an image or text through the Nutrition Autofill feature.
