2.What OmaBite Is

OmaBite helps you keep a visual food diary and understand your daily nutrition. You can log meals, ingredients, recipes, packaged foods, water intake, and body weight. OmaBite also includes Smart Pick logging, portion adjustment, a personalized food library, and optional iCloud Sync.

OmaBite can use the camera or pasted text to help autofill nutrition information from nutrition labels. Nutrition Autofill is used only when you choose to submit a photo or text, and you can revoke consent in the app.

Recipe Import turns a recipe you type, paste, or photograph into ingredients with nutrition values, using the foods in your library. Image Studio generates a picture of a food from the food name you enter. Both are used only when you choose to use them, they send what you submit to a third-party service provider, and you can see and revoke consent for each one in More > Legal & Privacy > Feature Consents.

3.Common Troubleshooting

• Update the app - Install the latest version from the App Store.
• Restart OmaBite - Close the app from the app switcher and open it again.
• Restart your device - This can resolve temporary camera, iCloud, StoreKit, or system permission issues.
• Allow time for first iCloud sync — When you turn on iCloud Sync in a fresh or empty copy of OmaBite, your log history, including meal, water, and weight logs, as well as your meal library, may take longer to appear while iCloud finishes downloading your data. This is normal during the first sync.
• Check camera access - In iOS Settings > OmaBite, confirm camera access is enabled if you want to take nutrition label photos.
• Check iCloud Sync - Make sure you are signed in to iCloud, iCloud is available for OmaBite in iOS Settings, and the iCloud Sync toggle is enabled in the app if you want syncing.
• Recipe Import or Image Studio does not work - Both need an internet connection and your consent in More > Legal & Privacy > Feature Consents. Image Studio is not available in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, so it may not appear there.
• Try pasted label text - If you found the label of the food through the internet on the same device you use OmaBite, it could be difficult to take a photo. Try copying the nutrition information and use the Fill from text feature instead.
• Restore purchases - If a subscription does not appear active, use Restore purchases from the subscription screen and make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
• Reinstall only as a last resort - Deleting the app can remove local data that has not synced or backed up.

4.Nutrition And Health Note

OmaBite is for personal food logging and nutrition tracking. Nutrition values, autofill results, and imported recipes should be reviewed by you before saving. OmaBite is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional dietary advice.

5.Subscriptions And Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Nutrition Autofill, Recipe Import, and Image Studio send what you choose to submit to third-party service providers, and you can manage each consent in More > Legal & Privacy > Feature Consents.
